About Dr Goh Khean Teik

Dr Goh Khean Teik assumed the role of Group Director, Health Services Group, Ministry of Health Singapore (MOH) in September 2025. Prior to this appointment, he was the Director of the Hospital Services Division. The division is tasked with oversight of clinical services and policies in acute and community hospitals, capacity planning and management, and strategic hospital services sector development, which also includes translating research such as genomics to clinical service.
Prior to his MOH posts, he was with the National University Hospital (NUH) Singapore where he had a baptism of fire during SARS in 2003. He has held positions ranging from the Head of Medical Affairs to Assistant Chief Operating Officer with responsibilities including clinical service planning, human resource for doctors, quality improvement, patient safety and service recovery, inpatient operations and transition to home, operating theatres as well as contingency planning for mass casualties and infectious disease outbreaks.
He is a family physician by training, a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians Singapore, and before joining NUH was the Head of Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic.
